Vector One describes a new solar GPS datalogger and provide multiple screenshots. From the blog: "It is a solar powered GPS with rechargeable battery. It is also a datalogger, capable of logging 100,000 waypoints and bunches of NMEA data. [...] However, this is no ordinary solar GPS, it includes wireless BlueTooth too! So, with a PDA one could be plotting locations using ‘Navigate’ mode in real-time. You are probably wondering about the price, right? Price: 70 Euro" The Geowanking list provide a very informative link to the specifications.

As the article notes, this is the first cycle where GPS is widespread - and GPS is one of the systems most easily affected by solar flares. It will be interesting to see how much impact these flares have on our day to day lives, particularly in the geospatial community"
