Industry: Major Virtual Earth Imagery Updates 1 comment [+]
An anonymous reader shares: "Microsoft's Virtual Earth for Government's blog post announcing new 3D market coverages and new Bird's Eye oblique imagery in many other markets. Microsoft's agreement with Pictometry has them receiving new Bird's Eye coverage frequently, further extending the advantage this flavor of spatial imagery gives their free Live Search Maps and for a fee services that use it. I'd probably also be tempted to link to one of the new 3D markets in their Live Search Maps page and comment that it looks nice when it doesn't CRASH MY BROWSER. Sorry, I get annoyed when Microsoft's products don't come anywhere close to realizing their potential."
