If you are into python, GIS and django then you must check out GeoDjango. GeoDjango is described as "a world-class geographic web framework. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to build GIS web applications and harness the power of spatially enabled data." Here is some recent news about the framework:
Stuff like this makes me really want to get going in the python world.
- An IRC channel is available for discussion on all things GeoDjango -- join #geodjango on freenode.
- GeoDjango will be featured in a presentation and tutorial session at O'Reilly's Where 2.0 Conference , May 12-14, 2008 in Burlingame, California.
- The project was presented at FOSS4G 2007 on September 25, 2007. Thanks again for your support!

We mentioned GeoDjango last April. Now Django 1.0 has just been released and it includes the GeoDjango component.
Here's the Django Wikipedia page. Geoblogger Sean Gillies has a recent post named Django on Jython.
